Part-2 To choose a diet plan, pick a diet that permits or allows you to eat foods from every food group no matter what age group or gender you are. Balance is essential in all aspects of lives, this includes the foods that you eat! Eating Low G.I. Carbohydrates, plenty of vegetables and fruit, eating good source of protein,( lean red meat, poultry, fish and etc.) in moderation and consistent regular exercise, will surely help you lose the extra weight. Cutting out entire food groups from your daily diet is not the healthiest way to go! One thing important for me is to eat a diet that consist of plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well as Low G.I. carbohydrates, whole grains, fish, and poultry, lean red meat and water! Water is essential and drinking plenty of water each day is a must!
Your body needs protein to function. It is the building block of your muscle. During a strength training or weightlifting workout, your muscles are getting broken down. You need high quantities of protein to rebuild and repair your muscles.
High protein foods are based on foods rich in protein and are effective in losing weight. Foods high in protein are some what very low in carbohydrates and saturated fat (the animal fat that you DON’T want to eat).By eating high protein diet in moderation,(cutting all the fats in the meat) you would end up eating low carbohydrate foods and low saturated fat foods which is healthier.
To lose weight and lose fat, eat low G.I. carbohydrates, plenty of vegetables & fruits and no or small amount of saturated fat, moderate amount of protein foods, add some unsaturated fat in your diet, lots of water as well as regular exercise 5-7 days for at least 30 minutes each session a week is a must! Some sources of unsaturated fat (good oil) are flaxseed oil, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, walnuts, all-natural peanut butter, cold water fish and avocados. A bit of saturated fat is okay, don’t go overboard
Eating the required quantity of high protein foods can be difficult due to the amount of meat to consume everyday. However there is a protein supplements. Protein shakes (powder mixed with any fluid you want) and bars are the solution. Drinking your average shake with 2 scoops of protein powder give you 30+ grams of protein, and only takes a minute to make and drink.
The average bars have about 30 grams each, and are the size of your average candy bar. The best times to consume high protein, are after you wake up in the morning, last thing before you go to bed at night, and immediately after your workout. Bear in mind though that the main point of eating a high protein diet is to give your body the protein it needs .Good idea to eat a little meal once every 3 hours so that your body will have what it needs.
