Advice to Help you Lose Weight Quickly
Mar 29th, 2008 by Fiona Williams
Increasing numbers of people around the world are experiencing weight problems but a foolproof quick weight loss program does not yet exist; good programs are out there that can make a difference, as many dieticians will tell you. Being overweight is the cause of many medical conditions which require long term attention but obesity also affects the way we see ourselves as well.
The most important aspect of any quick weight loss system is the person losing weight and many of these are available on the Internet. Losing weight can be for health reasons, self image reasons or both but whatever the reason, you must be sure that you’re doing it for your benefit and not another person.
Many factors affect how well your weight loss program will go including how much physical activity you have during a normal day, the type of food you eat, how many meals you have and when those meals are eaten. Weight loss should not be achieved at a rapid rate so do not expect to lose thirty pounds each and every month because you will not achieve this and may create physical problems that often occur when weight is lost quickly.
To keep things simple it is easier to consider that one pound lost per week is realistically the equivalent to around 3,500 calories which breaks down to losing 500 calories a day, every day whether through dieting, exercise or both. The best diets are where you do not give up foods you enjoy, just cut back on the amount because as soon as you stop eating those foods, the likelihood of the diet continuing is reduced.
Of course we often eat more when we do not feel very good about ourselves or are depressed about our life, which is often called comfort eating. Bad eating habits are a real issue that can cause diabetes, cancer, various heart problems and high blood pressure. The problem with many dieters is their attitude to a quick weight loss method and whether or not they understand that dieting is not a cure all for obesity.
Studies have shown that people who have started weight loss programs with a light-hearted determination are more likely to accomplish the looked-for results. It helps to provide an environment of positive mental attitude which is necessary for us if we wish to be successful in any endeavor. Most people who have maintained their weight loss have found themselves with more energy and actually like themselves more because they have achieved something special.
Many quick weight loss programs are far from it as they actually test the person using them but the pain barrier does not last long and once through it, the whole system becomes more pleasant.
